Confidentiality
How we handle your financial information.
You are asked to share sensitive numbers with a firm you have not met in person. These are the rules we work by.
Last updated: October 2026
1. A confidentiality agreement comes first
We sign a mutual confidentiality agreement (NDA) before you share any financial information. If your company has its own form, we can use it.
2. Only what the analysis needs
We ask for the information the agreed analysis requires. Typically that means financial statements, trial balance or general ledger exports, receivables and payables aging, and sales detail.
- We do not need bank credentials or any ability to move money.
- We do not need write access to your accounting system. Exports or read-only access are enough.
- We do not need personal data about your employees or customers beyond what appears in normal business reports.
3. Limited access and use
Your information is used only to deliver the service you engaged us for.
- Only the people working on your analysis access it.
- It is not sold, and it is not shared with other clients or third parties, except the service providers described below.
- It is not used in marketing. Every example on this website uses fictitious data.
4. Software and AI-assisted tools
We do the analysis with professional software: spreadsheets, data and reporting tools, and secure storage. This may include AI-assisted tools that help prepare, check and summarize analysis.
We use AI-assisted tools with your information only with your written authorization, which is part of the engagement agreement. The authorization covers the following conditions:
- Before you share data, we tell you which tools are involved.
- We use only tools whose terms state that client data is not used to train their models.
- Where possible we work with aggregated figures and remove names of customers, suppliers and employees before using these tools.
- A qualified finance professional reviews every analysis and conclusion. No output goes to you unreviewed.
- You can decline or withdraw the authorization at any time. We will then do the work without those tools.
5. Return or deletion
When the engagement ends, or whenever you ask, we return or delete the information you provided, except what the law requires us to keep.
6. Your accountant stays in control
Finanzap does not change your books, file taxes or make payments. Your accountant or CPA remains responsible for the accounting records.
